Body Technician – Light Duty

Job overview

The Body Technician – Light Duty role is onsite in Janesville, Wisconsin. Pay is $20–$40 per hour, based on experience. Budget Truck and Auto is an auto body shop specializing in collision repair, custom painting, and vinyl graphics for light- and heavy-duty vehicles. The technician repairs collision damage on light-duty passenger vehicles, following repair orders and OEM standards. The role contributes to safe, accurate repairs by diagnosing damage, restoring vehicle structures, and installing or repairing components.

What you'll do

• Perform repair-order work efficiently and accurately according to OEM standards
• use hand and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as needed, and install new parts
• work with metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical parts
• inspect vehicles for additional safety or service work
• use measuring and frame equipment to diagnose damage and restore frame or unibody parts to manufacturer specifications
• participate in manufacturer-sponsored training. Requires 1–2 years of prior body repair experience and tools needed for the work
• welding and frame repair experience are preferred, and I-CAR or ASE certifications are a bonus.
