Diesel Technician

The Diesel Technician is an onsite, full-time role based in Madison, WI. The pay range is $25.00–$30.00 per hour. This role exists to perform major and minor repairs on commercial trucks and buses. The technician works independently to diagnose and maintain diesel equipment, serving as a lead expert and mentor for developing technicians at the dealership.

What you'll do

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.
• Troubleshoot and repair suspension, driveline, steering components, brake system, engine repair, and electrical.
• Install injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, cylinder heads, rod and main bearings, oil pans, clutches, fan hubs, differentials, fifth wheels, brakes, and replace transmissions.
• Document all work performed.
• Conduct road tests.
• Adhere to safety standards.
