Hydroblasting Technician

The Hydroblasting Technician role is onsite in Lake Charles, LA; compensation is not specified, with final compensation based on individual qualifications and experience. Turner Industries provides industrial contracting solutions intended to increase plant production, reduce costs and downtime, and help prevent shutdowns. The technician directs abrasive-laden compressed air or water against metal and hard composite surfaces to remove scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt and produce an even finish. The role adjusts equipment controls, follows site safety requirements, and performs assigned work under frequent checks by the foreman.

What you'll do

• Operate hydroblasting equipment to remove adhering material and produce an even finish
• adjust pressure and grit concentration
• wear required protective equipment
• mask areas that are not to be blasted when needed
• order materials as needed
• perform additional assignments as directed by the supervisor
• follow client job-site safety requirements.
