Senior Technical Accounting Analyst

The Senior Technical Accounting Analyst role is onsite in Redondo Beach, CA. Compensation is $100,000–$135,000 per year. The role joins Impulse Space’s Finance team and supports accounting in a complex aerospace and defense environment. The analyst evaluates customer contracts and accounting treatment, with particular focus on revenue recognition under ASC 606. The work supports accurate financial reporting by connecting contract terms, billing milestones, accounts receivable, general ledger activity, and close processes.

What you'll do

• Review customer contracts and amendments for U.S. GAAP accounting treatment, especially ASC 606
• analyze performance obligations, transaction price, billing milestones, acceptance criteria, modifications, and variable consideration
• assess revenue timing and progress measures
• prepare technical accounting memorandums
• monitor billing milestones and accounts receivable
• support contract reconciliations, monthly and annual close, journal entries, audits, accounting policies, internal controls, and process improvements.
