Production Supervisor — Machining

The Production Supervisor — Machining role is onsite in Fort Worth, TX. Compensation is not specified. The supervisor will lead production operators and technicians at MP Materials’ greenfield rare-earth magnet manufacturing facility, supporting the company’s integrated U.S. rare-earth supply chain. The role exists to coordinate finishing operations and resources so production meets schedule, yield, and quality expectations. It also supports continuous improvement by working with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to address process deviations and improve operations.

What you'll do

• Schedule and manage manufacturing operators’ work
• oversee finishing operations including machining, passivation and cleaning, packaging, and inspection
• monitor labor efficiency and redeploy labor as needed
• monitor processes for yield and quality
• manage performance against KPIs and track leading metrics
• partner with production engineering, maintenance, and quality teams on improvements and corrective actions
• participate in continuous-improvement projects such as Kaizens.

Why this role

Requires 3–5 years of industrial manufacturing experience, experience managing and training operators, knowledge of 5S and Lean Manufacturing, and experience with ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality systems. The role is assigned to a 12-hour rotating shift schedule after production starts.
