Basketball Coach — K–8 Program

Job overview

The Basketball Coach role is onsite in Redding, CA, with scheduled hours averaging 10 per week during basketball seasons, additional hours during tournament weeks, and no scheduled hours during the rest of the year. Pay is $17 per hour. The coach supports Bethel Christian School’s K–8 basketball program in a Christ-centered environment. The coach develops student-athletes through basketball instruction, team activities, and supervision while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, character, and student well-being. The role also supports the school’s Christian mission and values on and off the court.

What you'll do

• Plan and lead practices and team activities
• coach and supervise student-athletes during games, practices, tournaments, and events
• teach basketball fundamentals, teamwork, sportsmanship, and leadership
• develop practice schedules, game strategies, and player-development plans
• support student safety and academic success
• communicate with parents, students, officials, and school staff
• coordinate team needs as assigned.
