The Cook – Part-Time role is onsite in Dayton, OH; compensation is not specified. Laurelwood Assisted Living’s dining operation prepares meals for residents and their guests. The cook prepares and serves meals according to menus, recipes, and planned events, helping ensure timely service and nutritional care. The role also supports safe kitchen operations through food storage, sanitation, equipment monitoring, recordkeeping, and coordination with the Dining Director.

What you'll do

• Prepare and serve food for residents
• manage culinary preparation and service according to menus and recipes
• meet established meal times
• maintain records
• label, date, cover, and store food properly
• control food and material waste
• follow sanitation and food-preparation procedures
• record refrigerator and freezer temperatures and take corrective action when needed
• clean and monitor kitchen equipment
• assist the Dining Director with kitchen operations
• participate in training and quality and safety programs.

Why this role
