Direct Support Professional – 16 Hours

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Parsippany, NJ, in a group home, for 16 hours per week on Fridays and Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $20.49 per hour Monday–Friday and $21.49 per hour for shifts beginning Friday at 11:00 p.m. through Sunday at 11:00 p.m.; non-work time is paid at the base rate. Catholic Charities’ Department for Persons with Disabilities provides care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role supports residents’ health, safety, and welfare through personal care, daily living activities, medication assistance, transportation, and community activities. It contributes to residents’ well-being and participation by following care routines, communicating with colleagues, and documenting services.

What you'll do

• Assist or supervise residents with bathing and toileting
• participate in cleaning, cooking, and life-skills activities
• administer or assist with medication
• communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and residents
• drive residents to and from day programs and community activities using agency vehicles
• document services daily
• assist with community-based activities.
