Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant role is onsite in Troy, NY, with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Compensation is $24–$26 per hour. The role supports maintenance and resident services at The Eliot at Troy. The position helps keep the facility, grounds, and living units safe, clean, and in working order. It carries out preventive maintenance, completes work orders, addresses repairs and housekeeping needs, and assists residents with handyman tasks and special-event setup and cleanup.

What you'll do

• Carry out preventive maintenance
• report building and equipment problems
• identify supplies for purchase when approved
• clean sidewalks, parking areas, and roadways
• and plow or shovel snow. Perform handyman tasks for residents, complete and return maintenance work orders, remove trash, store chemicals and equipment safely, refurbish living units, repair or replace fixtures, inspect buildings, change HVAC filters, and assist with special-event setup and cleanup. Occasional weekend work may be needed for special events, snowstorms, or maintenance emergencies.
