Overnight Security Guard is an onsite role in Rancho Santa Fe, CA, scheduled primarily from 5:00 PM to 1:30 AM, five nights per week, with flexibility based on operational needs. The posting lists pay of $25 per hour. The role is part of the resort’s Night Audit / Security department and supports guest and employee safety at Rancho Valencia Resort. The guard protects guests, employees, facilities, and assets through patrols, access checks, incident response, and reporting. The role also coordinates with other departments and provides assigned gatehouse, bell, valet, and overnight guest support to help maintain safe, seamless resort operations.

What you'll do

• Conduct resort patrols and inspect public areas, pathways, parking, back-of-house spaces, and facilities
• identify hazards, unsecured areas, suspicious activity, or unauthorized guests
• secure buildings and designated accommodations
• complete nightly security reports
• communicate maintenance, safety, and operational issues
• respond to emergency calls, disturbances, medical incidents, and safety concerns
• document incidents and gather evidence or interview witnesses when appropriate
• maintain a visible security presence
• cross-train and provide assigned Gatehouse Attendant coverage
• assist with Bell and Valet operations after their service concludes, typically 11:00 PM or earlier
• support overnight check-ins, luggage assistance, guest transportation, and Lost & Found procedures
• collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments.
