What you'll do

• Greet and escort patients
• explain appointment steps
• gather patient information and document it in the electronic medical record
• record histories and chief complaints
• perform ophthalmic tests and measure eye function
• apply eye drops as directed
• assist with minor procedures, injections, and laser treatments
• educate patients as directed
• scribe for physicians
• safeguard records and follow HIPAA requirements
• maintain a clean clinical environment.
