Network Engineer I, Broadband IP

The Network Engineer I role is onsite in Lubbock, TX. Pay is $29–$65 per hour. The position is on JSI’s Broadband IP team, supporting broadband and telecommunications initiatives that expand connectivity and digital inclusion. The engineer assists clients with designing, implementing, and troubleshooting IP broadband networks. The work helps service providers improve network stability, resiliency, and cybersecurity while documenting designs and communicating technical guidance.

What you'll do

• Analyze and design IP broadband and telecommunications networks for internet service providers
• implement network designs and configure equipment and related systems
• troubleshoot existing networks with clients
• consult on network stability, resiliency, and cybersecurity
• document networks, processes, and troubleshooting steps
• communicate technical concepts clearly
• keep current with industry developments and technologies
• build expertise through research, practice, and industry certifications.
