The Solution Architect / Technical Lead role is onsite in Washington, DC. Compensation is not specified. The role provides senior technical direction for Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 solutions supporting Department of the Interior programs. It designs secure enterprise architectures, establishes deployment and lifecycle practices, reviews technical work, and supports compliance, accessibility, documentation, and long-term sustainment.

What you'll do

• Serve as senior technical authority for Power Platform, SharePoint, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 delivery
• design enterprise architectures and integrations
• lead API, OAuth 2.0, and custom connector patterns
• establish application lifecycle management and environment strategies
• conduct design, code, architecture, and performance reviews
• ensure compliance with DOI and federal IT requirements
• and guide documentation, knowledge transfer, and sustainment planning.

Why this role

Requires 8+ years of Microsoft platform architecture, modernization, or enterprise solution delivery experience; direct Department of the Interior IT program experience; and ability to obtain and maintain DOI Public Trust suitability. Preferred certifications include Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator Expert, or TOGAF.
