Recovery Coach, Community Services

Job overview

The Recovery Coach, Community Services role is onsite in Pittsfield, MA, with compensation of $20–$21.34 per hour. The Brien Center for Mental Health supports people living in the community and in shared residences. The coach uses personal recovery experience and formal training to build peer relationships that support self-determination and decision-making. The role promotes recovery, connects people with supports, helps remove barriers, and encourages hope and healthy living across multiple recovery pathways.

What you'll do

• Use personal recovery experience and skills from Recovery Coach training to support peer relationships
• promote recovery and self-determination
• help remove barriers and connect people with recovery supports
• encourage hope, optimism, and healthy living
• support people in community and shared-residence settings
• support multiple recovery pathways, including harm reduction and prescribed medication supports as needed
• maintain confidentiality and follow Recovery Coaching ethics.

Why this role

Weekdays, first shift. Recovery Coach Academy certification is required within 12 months of eligibility, along with continuing BSAS and other accredited training and certifications as required. A GED or high school diploma is required; 3–5 years of human services experience is preferred. Spanish, cultural competency, and ASL are considered assets.
