Youth Services Coordinator

Job overview

The Youth Services Coordinator role is onsite in Charleston, WV; compensation is $17 per hour. The position supports children of parents served by YWCA Charleston’s Resolve Family Abuse Program and works closely with Hope House staff. YWCA Charleston’s mission includes eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity.

What you'll do

• Coordinate with Hope House staff to assess children’s needs
• support school enrollment and education assistance
• coordinate child advocacy, Child Protective Services referrals, and other services
• document interventions
• help arrange childcare
• maintain confidentiality and prepare records and grant data
• coordinate the shelter’s child nutrition program
• facilitate child activities
• maintain a child-friendly activity area
• and support staff training and required domestic violence advocate certification.

Why this role

Requires an associate degree in human services or a related field and two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires at least 50 hours of approved annual training toward West Virginia Coalition Against Domestic Violence advocate certification.
