Principal AI Search and Conversation Architect

Job overview

The Principal AI Search and Conversation Architect role is onsite in Austin, TX; compensation is not specified. The role supports AskOle’s effort to replace traditional search with conversational discovery and transaction experiences, alongside OleOle’s football-focused global platform. The architect defines and leads the AI orchestration systems that interpret user intent, retrieve and reason over real-time information, rank options, and respond through natural conversation. The role also establishes technical direction and works with other principal architects to integrate the conversational platform across the broader ecosystem.

What you'll do

• Architect the AI orchestration layer coordinating language models, agents, retrieval, recommendations, and external APIs
• design systems for multi-step planning, conversational context, tool execution, ranking, and feedback
• define technical vision and architecture standards
• evaluate AI technologies
• mentor senior engineers
• and make long-term decisions on LLM strategy, retrieval, agent design, memory, semantic search, databases, and evaluation.
