The Preschool Floating Teaching Assistant/Aide — Thrive to Five role is onsite and travels among East High Elementary in Elizabethtown, Mount Joy CTC, Denver Elementary, and Reamsotown Elementary, Pennsylvania. Pay is $17.40–$17.90 per hour. The role supports the Thrive to Five teaching team by covering leave and staffing needs. The aide or assistant follows classroom routines and lesson plans, supports children’s learning, health, safety, and social-emotional development, and helps maintain relationships with families. Assignments vary according to program and classroom needs, contributing to continuity of early learning services.

What you'll do

• Travel among the listed school sites to cover PTO, employee leaves, or understaffing
• assist with Creative Curriculum and classroom routines
• support individualized instruction
• supervise children and follow health, safety, meal, and rest-time procedures
• teach and model social-emotional skills
• implement behavior support plans as needed
• support family engagement
• participate in training and professional development.

Why this role

Scheduled 7.5 hours per day between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., 37.5 hours per week for 44 weeks per year; summers off, with work available at Lancaster locations. Sign-on bonus is available to external candidates.
