Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operator role is onsite in Seadrift, TX, and pays $34–$35 per hour. Standard Constructors assigns the role to plant operations or construction job sites, including petrochemical and refining operational units. The role exists to operate equipment safely and support construction or plant work. The operator prepares and levels surfaces, inspects and maintains equipment, coordinates with spotters and flaggers, assists other craft workers, and follows site safety requirements.

What you'll do

• Operate bulldozers, excavators, skid steers, loaders, backhoes, rollers, compactors, forklifts, tractors, and small trenchers as required
• follow safety practices
• interpret hand signals
• work with spotters and flaggers
• inspect equipment and check fluids
• report malfunctions
• prepare and level surfaces
• perform minor maintenance and cleaning
• assist other craft workers.
