The Controller role is onsite in Maynard, MA. Compensation is $110,000–$140,000 per year. The Controller works with firm leadership and project managers to support the firm’s financial operations and growth. This hands-on financial leader oversees accounting operations, reporting, project accounting, billing, cash management, payroll, budgeting, compliance, and accounting systems. The role strengthens processes and financial visibility while developing the accounting team and supporting planning with the CFO.

What you'll do

• Lead daily accounting operations and supervise the accounting team
• manage month- and year-end close and financial reporting
• analyze statements and budget-to-actual results
• oversee project accounting, work in progress, revenue recognition, profitability, billing, payables, receivables, payroll, cash management, and reconciliations
• forecast cash flow
• support budgeting and strategic planning
• coordinate audits, tax preparation, and compliance
• maintain controls and policies
• improve Deltek Vantagepoint workflows and reporting
• and mentor accounting staff.
