The Underwriter OR Underwriting Specialist, Construction Casualty is a hybrid role based in Addison, TX. , and the role supports the Specialities Construction Casualty team at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. This role exists to utilize marketing and analytical skills to underwrite new and renewal construction business. The incumbent will build relationships with brokers and agents to drive business retention and acquisition.

What you'll do

• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, rating manual rules, and insurance laws and regulations.
• Develop, maintain & collaborate with Line of Business representatives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors.
• Support the organization's sales culture.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors.
• Qualify accounts to meet with the organization's appetite.
