Factory Technical Support Technician (HVAC)

The Factory Technical Support Technician (HVAC) role is onsite in Rochester, New York. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour. The position supports Northern Air Systems’ commercial HVAC manufacturing, testing, and field application work. The technician helps production, quality, engineering, service, and customers identify and resolve equipment issues and verify performance. The role troubleshoots HVAC systems and controls, supports factory testing and commissioning, documents findings, and shares recurring issues and practical feedback with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do

• Support production teams
• troubleshoot HVAC equipment, controls, electrical systems, refrigeration circuits, airflow, and mechanical components
• use schematics and diagnostic tools
• support factory testing, startup, commissioning, and performance verification
• investigate failures and recommend corrective actions
• document results
• update troubleshooting and training materials
• and assist field service personnel and customers when required.
