What you'll do

• Collect patient demographic and insurance information, verify benefits, and obtain signatures on ER consent forms
• enter patient information into EHR and billing software
• scan signed documents and medical reports into patient files
• maintain and file records for the required period
• provide records to other providers when the patient has signed an authorization
• log payments and cash receipts through Square and maintain the cash drawer
• and maintain accurate payment and payer records for billing. Requires basic medical terminology and computer knowledge, a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of clerical support experience, and CPR/BLS certification.
