The Controls Technician - Evening Shift is an onsite role based in Independence, MO, with a starting pay of $27/hr plus a $2 shift differential. This position supports the maintenance department at a leading window and door manufacturer, ensuring production reliability through expert equipment analysis and repair. This role exists to maintain and optimize production machinery by troubleshooting complex electrical, mechanical, and PLC control systems. The technician will perform preventative maintenance, document repairs, and collaborate with technical staff to improve equipment performance and safety.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and PLC control problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document repairs in the EAM system.
• Maintain program backups for electrical devices.
• Evaluate system performance of new equipment.
• Set up variable frequency drives and troubleshoot servo motors.
• Collaborate with the Custom Equipment Process Group on machine improvements.
