The Powder Coat Technician - 1st Shift role is onsite at Technique LLC’s Jackson, MI facility. Compensation is not specified. The position reports to the Department Manager in the Powder Coat department at a precision sheet metal and welded assemblies manufacturer. The technician prepares parts and applies powder coat and other finishes, then inspects and packages products to meet quality and customer delivery goals. The work also supports safe production, equipment upkeep, and process improvement.

What you'll do

• Prepare parts through cleaning, sandblasting, and masking
• apply powder coat, wet spray, Cerakote, hydro dip, and other coating methods
• operate coating equipment and lift truck as required
• monitor equipment and troubleshoot defects
• inspect products and complete quality documentation
• maintain equipment
• package finished products
• support safety and process improvement.
