The Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) role is onsite in Cody, WY, providing care in patients’ homes and community settings. Pay is $18–$20 per hour. Working under a Registered Nurse, the hospice aide provides personal care and comfort to patients and supports families and caregivers. The role observes and documents care and reports changes to the Case Manager, contributing to safe, continuous hospice care.

What you'll do

• Provide assigned personal care promptly
• communicate respectfully with patients and families while maintaining confidentiality
• use patient equipment safely
• provide baths, oral hygiene, shampoos, and linen changes
• assist with dressing, meals, feeding, ambulation, exercise, range of motion, transfers, and positioning
• provide medication reminders as allowed by state regulations
• assist with bedpans, urinals, and light laundry
• keep living areas orderly
• document care
• report patient condition changes to the Case Manager
• provide respite when appropriate.

Why this role

Requires state training, at least 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training, age 18 or older, and a licensed driver’s license with insured automobile. The aide does not perform nursing practice or administer medications.
