Maintenance Line Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Line Technician role is onsite in Mocksville, NC. Pay is $27–$33 per hour. The role supports Avgol’s plant operations producing lightweight spun-melt non-woven fabrics for the hygiene industry. The technician troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains mechanical, electrical, and PLC-controlled equipment to support safe, reliable production and reduce downtime. The role also contributes to inspections, equipment improvements, and coordination with production teams.

What you'll do

• Perform daily line checks and update task lists
• follow Lockout/Tagout procedures and safety requirements
• troubleshoot and maintain PLC systems and peripherals
• inspect facilities and initiate corrective actions
• document maintenance, preventive maintenance, and parts usage in CMMS
• operate powered lifting equipment
• analyze equipment performance and contribute to process improvements
• support employee training as needed
• prioritize tasks, order parts, and complete repairs
• plan improvement projects with production
• weld and fabricate as required
• modify equipment and report product quality abnormalities.
