Door Technician Apprentice

The Door Technician Apprentice role is onsite in Appleton, WI, with work described across the Fox Valley. Pay is $22–$28 per hour, depending on experience. Fox Valley Overhead Door Company installs and services residential and commercial garage doors, rolling steel doors, and gate operators. The apprentice supports field installation and service work while developing the skills to complete installations to specification, communicate with customers, and maintain safe, orderly job sites and equipment. The role includes participation in an after-hours on-call rotation.

What you'll do

• Install residential and commercial garage doors, rolling steel doors, and gate operators
• install and adjust openers, springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and hardware
• remove existing doors and prepare openings
• confirm measurements and complete work orders
• explain door operation to customers
• maintain truck stock, accurate paperwork, and clean job sites
• participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
