What you'll do

• Directly supervise swimmers and maintain safety standards during recreational, fitness, and instructional swims. Know emergency procedures and be able to administer first aid
• report serious incidents and suspicious activity. Keep the deck and locker rooms clean, organize supplies and equipment, follow opening and closing procedures, attend staff meetings and in-service training, and engage positively with members. Report for duty at least ten minutes before pool opening.

Why this role

Must be at least 16 years old; current lifeguarding certification required, with Red Cross certification accepted and YMCA crossover required within 90 days or at the first available training. CPR or Basic Life Support, First Aid, AED, and oxygen administration certifications are required upon hire.
