Field Service Engineer – Inspection

Job overview

The Field Service Engineer – Inspection role is based onsite in Raleigh, NC, with approximately 75% domestic travel and occasional international travel. The listed compensation range is $40–$50 per hour. Syntegon’s North American Service Hub supports customers in pharmaceutical, biotech, and food industries. The role develops and optimizes machine-vision inspection recipes for pharmaceutical injectable medicines and supports installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting. It helps customers achieve reliable defect detection and effective operation of inspection and packaging equipment.

What you'll do

• Create, complete, and optimize machine-vision recipes
• tune vision systems and instruct technicians on tuning standards
• work with the COC on artificial-intelligence integration and custom vision applications
• install machines and support site acceptance testing
• guide customers in providing samples for recipe development
• train customer staff
• perform preventive maintenance and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• provide phone support
• repair and upgrade PCs
• and prepare service summaries and technical reports.
