The Phlebotomist — FCI McKean role is onsite in Lewis Run, PA, part-time, normally no more than 30 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, primarily 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM Eastern Time; scheduling may shift within the 6:00 AM–4:00 PM operating window. Compensation is $23.82 per hour. The role supports on-site clinical laboratory services in FCI McKean’s Health Services Department and Satellite Camp. The position collects and processes specimens and supports patient flow, laboratory documentation, reference-laboratory coordination, and equipment and supply readiness. It contributes to clinical services while following patient-care, privacy, laboratory, and correctional-institution requirements.

What you'll do

• Receive patients, verify identity, explain procedures, and support clinic flow
• collect, label, process, package, and transport specimens
• measure and document vital signs and weight when required
• organize laboratory studies
• route, scan, log, follow up, and file laboratory reports
• support assigned in-processing, DNA procedures, vaccine programs, and PPD updates
• coordinate with reference laboratories
• assist with quality procedures and CLIA recertification
• monitor equipment and supplies
• protect patient information and follow institution security procedures.
