The Project Engineer, Potomac Interceptor Program role is hybrid in Washington, DC, with at least three days per week in the office at the DC Water Clean Rivers Facility, Blue Plains. Compensation is up to $77 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The role supports large sewer rehabilitation projects. The engineer assists the Project Manager with project delivery, coordinating design and permitting, reviewing technical and construction documents, and tracking schedules, budgets, and action items. The work supports the execution of municipal sewer rehabilitation projects in coordination with consultants, contractors, and DC Water stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Support the Project Manager in delivering sewer rehabilitation projects
• prepare and review engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical documents
• coordinate design development and permitting
• review contractor submittals, RFIs, change orders, and construction documentation
• participate in design reviews and construction meetings
• track schedules, budgets, and action items
• provide construction engineering support
• coordinate with consultants, contractors, and DC Water stakeholders.
