What you'll do

• Manage overall facility healthcare operations
• coordinate with facility, regional, and corporate management to meet healthcare needs and comply with policies and contractual requirements
• maintain relationships with correctional and nursing staff, contracted providers, and outside agencies
• direct employee and contract-provider work, including hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline
• ensure adequate staffing and appropriate licensure
• monitor operational issues, medical files, records, interventions, pharmacy compliance, and safety
• maintain required accreditation and submit operational reports
• respond to health-services inquiries
• track budgets and recommend efficiency improvements
• participate in obtaining outside ancillary healthcare vendors
• maintain relationships with hospitals and agencies.

Why this role

Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration required; five years of healthcare administration or management experience in a supervisory capacity required; current CPR/BLS certification required; correctional or detention experience preferred.
