The Medical Assistant – Southtowns Multi-Specialty role is onsite in Orchard Park, NY, with a Monday–Friday schedule. Compensation is $22–$24 per hour. Roswell Park Care Network supports community physician practices and provides oncology and specialty care across New York State. The Medical Assistant prepares patient charts, supports providers during office hours, and helps ensure patients are seen promptly and courteously. The role contributes to coordinated clinic care through intake, vital signs, accurate records, room preparation, and assistance with minor procedures.

What you'll do

• Prepare charts 24–48 hours before appointments
• document accurately in the electronic medical record
• assist surgeons with minor procedures in the mini operating room using sterile procedures and autoclaving instruments
• escort patients, obtain vital signs, update histories, and reconcile medications and allergies
• provide provider-directed orders, education, and medication instructions
• clean and prepare exam rooms
• label specimen tubes
• stock supplies
• respond to provider and staff tasks
• intercept patient calls about clinical issues
• maintain patient confidentiality.

Why this role

Requires completion of an accredited clinical medical assistant program, or a high school diploma/GED plus at least one year of full-time clinical medical assistant and phlebotomy experience; BLS certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
