Job overview

The Mining Engineer will assist the Mining Group in all aspects of mine engineering and mining operations. This is an onsite role based in Anaheim, CA, with a salary range of $105,000 to $135,000 per year, supporting the company's mining department operations. The role exists to provide technical support for mine planning, resource estimation, and operational optimization. The incumbent will contribute to the team's goals by ensuring efficient mining methods, maintaining regulatory compliance, and overseeing various mining projects including exploratory drilling and aerial surveys.

What you'll do

  • Assist in performing mine engineering and mine planning activities
  • Learn and administer all company policies and safety procedures
  • Work and communicate with other engineering disciplines
  • Develop an understanding of the cement and aggregate manufacturing process
  • Estimate mineral deposits and develop life of mine design
  • Develop and revise one, five, and life of mine plans using Surpac and MineSched
  • Oversee mining projects such as exploratory drilling or rock mechanics study
  • Analyze and evaluate mining operations to optimize equipment usage
  • Perform surveying and plant inventory functions
  • Interface with plant, corporate personnel, and contractors
  • Perform exploration and exploratory work
  • Work with the environmental division to maintain compliance
  • Operate as a commercial drone pilot for aerial survey work.
