X-Ray Technologist

What you'll do

• Greet patients and explain procedures
• position patients for imaging
• use ALARA radiation protection techniques
• process images and check identification and quality before physician or radiologist review
• operate digital and non-digital imaging equipment according to approved techniques and policies
• assist with prescribed patient treatments as needed
• perform routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs or arrange repairs
• maintain forms, records, logs, and reports
• serve as a medical receptionist or medical assistant when needed within appropriate guidelines.
