The Controller role is primarily office-based at Acruva’s headquarters in Deerfield Beach, FL; occasional travel to project sites or partner offices may be required. Compensation is not specified. The role supports accounting and financial reporting for Acruva’s real estate development portfolio and management company. The Controller oversees multi-entity accounting, construction draw administration, budgeting, compliance, audits, and investor reporting to maintain accurate financial records and support project and company decisions.

What you'll do

• Maintain the general ledger and close processes
• prepare and review GAAP financial statements and consolidations
• maintain partner capital accounts and fixed asset schedules
• prepare construction draw requisitions
• track project funding sources and uses
• manage project bank accounts and cash forecasts
• reconcile bank and loan records
• support budgets and variance reporting
• coordinate cost certification, tax credit compliance, audits, tax returns, and investor reporting
• maintain accounting systems and controls
• process accounts payable
• and train and mentor accounting staff.

Why this role

Requires five to seven years of progressive accounting experience, including substantial real estate, affordable housing, or LIHTC accounting experience, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA license or candidacy is strongly preferred.
