Assistant Manager, Convenience Store

The Assistant Manager works onsite in Banner Elk, NC, with open availability for weekends, holidays, and primarily second or third shifts. Pay is $16–$19 per hour. GPM Investments offers weekly pay and opportunities to develop into a Store Manager or beyond. The assistant manager supports daily store operations, customer service, team leadership, inventory, merchandising, scheduling, and cash handling, stepping in as acting manager when the Store Manager is away.

What you'll do

• Support the Store Manager
• operate the register and assist customers
• coach team members on upselling
• help hire, train, and lead staff
• act as manager when needed
• handle inventory, ordering, and merchandising
• maintain store cleanliness
• manage schedules, cash handling, deposits, and store financials.
