The Site Maintenance Technician (SMT) is an onsite role based in Elkhorn, WI, with travel expectations of 50% to Madison, 45% to Beloit, and 5% to Elkhorn. Compensation is $34–$41 per hour. The role supports Midwest Refrigerated Services, a refrigerated logistics provider serving the food industry. As the facility’s primary maintenance resource, the technician independently manages daily maintenance needs, preventive maintenance, repairs, vendor work, and maintenance records. Reliable facility and warehouse equipment helps support the company’s storage, distribution, and cross-docking operations.

What you'll do

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment and building issues
• plan and complete preventive maintenance
• maintain work orders, asset records, and cost documentation in eMaint
• coordinate vendors and verify completed work
• communicate maintenance status and risks to Operations and the Facilities Manager
• troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and facility systems
• perform authorized warehouse-equipment maintenance
• follow safety, food-safety, lockout/tagout, and other required controls
• support other facilities when assigned.
