The Emergency Department Hospital Representative role is onsite at a hospital client site in Dover, DE, with a stated compensation range of $17–$20 per hour. The role supports the Eligibility Department and PATHS’ mission to help patients and families secure health coverage and financial assistance while receiving hospital care. The representative helps patients navigate Medical Assistance and insurance eligibility, gathers supporting information, and completes applications and case documentation. This work contributes to patient advocacy and timely eligibility processing in emergency and inpatient settings.

What you'll do

• Assist patients with Medical Assistance applications in emergency department and inpatient settings
• verify insurance information and eligibility
• work with patients, families, employers, financial institutions, and government agencies to obtain documentation
• document patient information and case activity
• complete related administrative tasks
• provide coverage at assigned hospital and other client facilities as needed
• protect confidential health information and meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards.

Why this role

The listed schedule is 8:00 AM–4:30 PM or 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; training is 8:30 AM–5:00 PM at the Newark, Delaware office. Travel to other client facilities may be required, with mileage reimbursement for approved business travel.
