The Laser Operator – 2nd Shift role is onsite in Spring Lake, MI, working Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. Compensation is not specified. MLC Manufacturing is a West Michigan sheet metal fabrication company specializing in precision laser cutting and metal processing. The operator runs and maintains Bystronic fiber laser cutting machines to produce parts safely, efficiently, and to quality requirements. The role supports production by preparing materials, monitoring and adjusting machine operation, inspecting finished parts, and coordinating with other operators.

What you'll do

• Operate Bystronic fiber laser cutting machines, including systems with auto loaders
• load and unload sheet metal
• monitor machine performance and adjust settings to maintain cut quality
• inspect parts for accuracy, burrs, and defects
• troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance
• remove and sort cut parts
• label finished parts
• manage scrap and maintain a clean work area
• collaborate with other operators
• follow safety procedures and company policies.
