Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide role is onsite in Groton, SD. Compensation is $15–$16 per hour. The position supports Avantara Groton’s healthcare team by helping meet guests’ nutritional needs and contribute to their well-being. The aide prepares and serves meals, coordinates tray delivery, and supports special diets and meal plans ordered by physicians. Accurate dietary documentation, sanitation, infection control, and collaboration with other departments help maintain safe, timely meal service and guest satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Assist with food preparation, serving, and cleaning in accordance with dietary regulations and facility policies
• prepare and deliver meal trays
• assist with menu planning and quality control
• document dietary needs, meal intake, and special requests
• support physician-ordered special diets and meal plans
• clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas
• participate in infection control and quality improvement initiatives
• coordinate meal delivery and requests with other departments.
