The Registered Polysomnographic Technologist performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing, analysis, and associated interventions under the direction of a physician. This onsite role is located in Springfield, MO, and compensation is not specified. The position supports the sleep diagnostic department by ensuring accurate data collection and patient education. This role exists to diagnose and treat sleep disorders by conducting overnight studies, including CPAP/BiPAP titration and MSLT.   • Prepare and calibrate sleep study equipment
  • apply electrodes per AASM standards
  • conduct overnight polysomnographic studies
  • monitor patients and respond to emergencies
  • score sleep studies and generate reports
  • educate patients on sleep disorders and PAP therapy
  • document procedures in EMR
  • participate in quality improvement.
