• run material requirements planning and use master production schedule information to create purchasing plans
• execute purchase orders and manage shortages
• source prototype components with Engineering
• mitigate supplier delivery risks
• mentor purchasing teammates
• negotiate long-term agreements, volume discounts, and payment terms
• monitor safety stock and reduce excess inventory.
