The Trained Medication Assistant role is onsite at Mary Marshall Assisted Living in Arlington, VA. Pay is $19.60–$21.85 per hour, based on previous experience, with a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule. Mary Marshall provides compassionate care to older adults with intellectual disabilities or mental illness. Working under a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse, the assistant administers prescribed medications and delegated treatments, completes routine resident care, documents medication and treatment administration, and reports changes in residents’ conditions. The role supports residents’ physical and psychosocial needs while following facility procedures and state and federal regulations.

What you'll do

• Administer medications and treatments delegated by a licensed nurse
• follow routines for vital signs, weights, medications, and treatments
• accurately prepare, administer, and chart medications
• perform directed non-invasive treatments
• obtain resident reports and new orders
• confer with team members and report necessary changes to the charge nurse
• maintain required documentation.
