The Teacher’s Aide / Paraprofessional I role is onsite at CP Rochester’s Winton Road facility in Rochester, NY. The role supports children’s well-being, education, and supervision in the classroom. CP Rochester’s Augustin Children’s Center provides educational and therapeutic services for children from birth to kindergarten, with and without disabilities. Under the classroom teacher’s supervision, the aide supports instructional and non-instructional activities, supervises children throughout the day, assists with physical care and behavioral needs, and helps maintain an orderly classroom. The role contributes to an inclusive classroom environment and children’s learning and development.

What you'll do

• Perform instructional and non-instructional duties under the classroom teacher’s supervision
• assist with children’s activities, supervision, transitions, and bus arrival and dismissal
• support physical care and health-related activities as appropriate
• assist children with behavioral needs
• maintain classroom cleanliness and supplies
• prepare snacks
• share relevant information with the teacher
• attend meetings and training.

Why this role

Monday–Friday during business hours, generally 8:45 a.m.–3:15 p.m.; follows the school schedule, including school breaks, and a 12-month schedule with a six-week summer session. Evening work may be required as duties demand.
