MRI Technologist — Full-Time, Rotating 8-Hour Shifts

The MRI Technologist role is onsite in San Jose, CA, with rotating 8-hour shifts; compensation is $70.14–$78.98 per hour. The technologist supports Stanford Health Care diagnostic imaging by performing MRI procedures under radiologist guidance. The role produces quality images that help physicians reach medical diagnoses and decisions. It also prepares and positions patients, follows scanning and safety protocols, maintains procedure records, and helps keep imaging equipment functioning reliably.

What you'll do

• Perform MRI procedures using appropriate technical factors and scanning techniques
• obtain quality images for medical diagnosis
• remain current on scanning protocols
• prepare, screen, position, and safely transfer patients for examinations
• complete exams within required timeframes
• evaluate and label processed images
• bill procedures and maintain paperwork
• troubleshoot equipment and report repair needs
• use ancillary equipment including PACS, laser camera, power injector, IDXRad, and Invivo monitor
• assist with training students, house staff, or others in MRI procedures, protocols, equipment, or safety issues.
