Behavioral Health Counselor

The Behavioral Health Counselor role is in person in Orange, CA, with a Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule. Compensation is $72,800 per year. Mariposa Women and Family Center provides mental health and substance use counseling, enhanced care management, resources, education, and advocacy for individuals and families. The counselor provides individual, group, and family counseling and maintains a client caseload, including evaluations, service planning, referrals, and documentation. The role helps clients address barriers to employability and self-sufficiency while supporting the center’s counseling services.

What you'll do

• Provide individual, group, and family counseling
• maintain a caseload of approximately 35 clients and required records
• conduct mental health and substance use evaluations
• develop work-focused coordination and service plans
• coordinate referrals
• complete notes and reports
• follow up on inactive cases
• attend meetings and training.
