Counselor II/III – Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment

The Counselor II/III – Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment role is onsite in Coalinga, CA, inside a state prison. Pay is $32 per hour. Amity Foundation provides teaching and therapeutic community programs, including prison and re-entry services. The counselor delivers rehabilitative programming to participants in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. Classes, individual sessions, and progress documentation support participants’ treatment and release-prevention planning.

What you'll do

• Facilitate evidence-based and standardized CBI classes
• conduct individual sessions to develop release-prevention or action plans and provide make-up work
• evaluate and document participant progress
• record CBI services in ARMS
• engage participants and reinforce group norms
• collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, the local institution, and contracted staff.
