The Nurse Resident – Med-Surg Telemetry role is onsite at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, AZ. Compensation is $35.50–$56.80 per hour. The position is part of Northern Arizona Healthcare’s November 9 nurse residency cohort. Under a preceptor’s direct supervision, the resident provides and supervises nursing care while developing clinical competency through clinical shifts, classroom learning, and online modules. The yearlong program supports transition to independent nursing practice and then to the RN role.

What you'll do

• Provide and supervise direct and indirect nursing care for identified age-specific groups
• use the nursing process to support nursing department goals
• participate in clinical, classroom, and online learning
• complete assigned modules
• work with preceptors on clinical shifts and competency goals
• participate in check-ins and continued learning activities.

Why this role

Requires an Arizona RN license by the residency start date, BLS, and an associate degree in nursing. ACLS training is provided and must be completed before independent practice. The program is 12 months; call may be required depending on department.
