Groundsperson – Oklahoma City

Job overview

The Groundsperson role is onsite in Oklahoma City, OK. Compensation is $18 per hour. The position supports field crews performing vegetation management and job-site work. The role helps crews complete work safely by clearing brush and trees, handling materials and equipment, managing debris, and protecting workers and the public around active work areas. It also supports traffic control, equipment upkeep, and storm work when needed.

What you'll do

• Follow and help enforce safe work practices
• clear debris and undergrowth using hand tools and gas-powered chain saws
• load and unload logs, brush, and debris and feed brush into a chipper. Use hand lines to lower limbs and equipment, carry and store materials, and set up or remove road signs. Flag traffic, drive trucks or operate assigned equipment, perform basic equipment maintenance, and report major repair needs. Keep job sites clean and orderly, communicate with coworkers, and perform storm-work duties as needed.
